32: The year of Strength, Humility, & Excellence

What's up real talk fam!!!! Guess what it's my birthday 🥳well it was my birthday lol. I know what you're thinking guh you're late but hey I know I know this blog is late but here we go....

Two days before my 32nd birthday I experienced the most traumatic experience of my life-connected to an unimaginable loss of life. An experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. As things have begun to calm down, I can now sit and try to process this tragedy, reflect on my life, and set my goals and intentions for this next trip around the sun. Now let me say this the events of January 10th have completely changed the course of my life and how I will move forward. Every year I write a list of unattainable goals, work hard for a month, and go back into my normal routine. I complain about where I am, and the cycle continues. In the midst of my complaints each morning my sweet baby Naomi would tell me everyday miss girl just do it. Just focus on your goals and make them happen. Make things happen for yourself as you do for others.

Knowing that I won't ever be able to have that conversation with her again. I've decided that it's finally time to take her advice. This year I'm going to just do it! This year I'm going to set SMART attainable goals and dedicate myself to making them happen. Making all my dreams come true the way I do for other people.

.

After reflecting on my last year (the year I titled INCREASE) I realized that a lot of things were accomplished but a lot was left on that list and will forever remain there. This year I'm taking a page from my sister-friend Mauda and I'm titling this year SHE -Strength. Humility. Excellence. Define your steps in strength, move with humility and do all things in excellence.

.

My overarching goal of 2022 is to figure out what I was made to do and do a lot of that with Strength, humility, & excellence ❤️

In addition to that I will accomplish the following:

  1. Get back active in church. Since COVID-19 I haven't been to church and I even stopped watching sermons online. Life was so much better when I focused on God and fellowship with his people.

  2. Counseling (I would encourage all of you to go to therapy especially if you've had any type of traumatic experience)

  3. Relaunch the Holloman Foundation

  4. Publish my books (I've written three children's books and haven't published one of them 🥴)

  5. Career Stability and Growth (I've been praying for a new opportunity; I'll check back in when it comes to pass 🙏🏾🤞🏾❤️)

  6. Read 12 books + the bible in its entirety (find the list and Amazon link below)

  7. Live in peace and achieve balance in every aspect of life

  8. Continue to mentor and work with young people

Honorable Mention: get married and have a baby ❤️ 😂🙃

From this day forward all that I do will be in honor of Naomi. I'm taking her advice and taking my life to the next level. This year I'll document it every step of the way 😉 So, in the midst of the tragedy, we will celebrate more life, peace, and blessings 🥂
